The vSwarm Web Control Center is the place to control your vSwarm activities. Submitting jobs, downloading the result of your job and checking your on-line statistics can be done here. Here you also get details about your files running in the render farm and other jobs being calculated at the moment.

Client details

Virtual Machine builds the basis for rendering over the internet

vSwarm Client virtualized by VMware uses a virtual machine running on your PC to provide the needed software to work on the jobs you receive from the vSwarm Server. By installing and running the vSwarm Client you become a node in the render farm.

By using virtual machines it is possible to have thousands of identical copies of a standardized virtual computer everywhere in the world on different computer systems - this is essential for building a renderfarm. Furthermore it separates your computer and data from the vSwarm render farm jobs.

Your data and internet connection is not accessible from inside the virtual machine. If anything goes wrong with an application running a job only the virtual machine is affected. This provides you best security.

vSwarm Client - Become part of the render farm

The vSwarm Client itself is a small java GUI which controls the virtual machine. It sends requests to the vSwarm Server and handles the delivery of the files to the virtual machine, respectively it handles the upload of completed jobs to the vSwarm Server.
