In a not to far future we want to realize a feature that enables us to pay money to users providing their PCs to the vSwarm. Right now we are still thinking about the different ways how we could do this, while on the other hand we still will keep a free version for those of you who don't need or want to pay for the use of vSwarm. 

Why a commercial version of vSwarm?

We want to further develop vSwarm, implement new features, and built a software that fits to your needs and fulfills your wishes. In order to do so, we need money to finance the development and the other costs of a project like this (i.e. traffic, server).

First idea for the commercial version

The idea right now is as follows: Users who need many CPUs for their rendering can buy priority credits, so their job is distributed to more CPUs.

These earnings will be shared between the users, selected open-source projects and us.

How much will be given to the users?

Honestly, we do not know that right now! It's hard to say how many people might use the software, how many pay for the priority credits.

As soon as we have a an even more detailed idea how this could look like, we will place it the forum to get your opinion on the further development of the vSwarm commercial version.

No commercial version without your comments!

We won't launch the commercial version of vSwarm without asking you! vSwarm is a community project. vSwarm cannot be successful without you, so share your thoughts with us and we will implement your wishes.
